apache has always "served" me well
and it always can do what you want
configuration is simple once you know it
its not like "yeah i know sendmail, its easy"
its alot easier than that :)

I wish somebody would write some sort of apache configuration compatibility layer.
additional arghs for having to do do it w/ rewrites on both Apaches (i.e. between a proxy layer say and an app layer) because the PHP app relies on parts of the proxy request URI
(It wasn't my choice to use Apache on the proxy/static layer either
