well, the most i ever do is packet filtering and nat'ing
so ipfw/iptables works perfect for me

Why should I use Parallels over fusion?
I've read on different websites that both performs faster than the other :P
So I assume they're same-same but different
But fusion being cheaper
i chose fusion for migrating VMs between my mac and a vmserver elsewhere or other sending to other vmware player users etc.

That's one thing I like about fusion too
And with Parallels I'm kind of limited to Windows (right?)

fink: try running openbsd on virtual box, works on fusion,parallels,kvm,qemu but not virtualbox.

freebsd != openbsd
fink: freebsd 8 manages memory differently.
fink: obsd does things like stack gap randomization and other interesting addressing tricks which run all over the vm space which vbox croaks over.

fink: the techniques are _valid_ in the i386 ISA so my money is on vbox's cpu/mmu implementation being broken as opposed to it being an obsd kernel bug.

which raises the question that if it can't handle the limits of the ISA what other issues does it have and being risk averse I'd rather pay for something that works. :)
if vbox works for you then all the power to you.  just not a product that works for me. :)
