http://arpnetworks.com/colocation @ vapor has anyone been using 2607:f2f8:0:101::7 as a resolver? up_the_irons: I am And haven't noticed any problems is there an NTP server at arp? N1JER: no, sorry. pool.ntp.org works just fine though or whatever your distro set it to one of my NTP servers is less than 1 ms away, apparently pool.ntp.org tries to do geolocation you mean anycasting, or? the values it returns to you depend on your location the DNS is "magic" originally developed for the CPAN so that www.cpan.org would pick the "nearest" mirror it's a bit easier for NTP, since you end up with multiple addresses, so you don't have to ensure you're handing out a live machine. pool.ntp.org still checks the server and removes bad ones from the pool yeah, but it's not critical time, like www.cpan.org which is giving you just one address. Oh wait... I guess it could give you multiple. dxtr: ah cool
