I never use ssh tunnel to acces to my VNC on arpnetworks, I tell you
and works 3 times
and now not works
if you're vncing to your box, presumably it's not up and happy in multi-user with sshd running, else you'd use ssh instead of vnc
short of having a 2nd vps on same network i'm not sure how you'd tunnel the vnc in a ssh session in those cases
except if you're say, at work, and don't want it going out clear through work's WAN, you can tunnel over ssh to your home box or something

wallshot: when you request an account for the serial console server, you can use that server to tunnel your vnc over ssh

why vnc? it's so more easier with the serial console
