Hi there! I see that my VPS has 2 cdrom drives. The first one has the FreeBSD iso, the second one is empty. Is it possible to have a different iso in the second drive, leaving the first one untouched? And then can you chose to boot from one or the other? that'd be nice. not sure of the answer though. my wireless router is such a pain. I have to restart it 5 times a day to get decent bandwidth... i'll get a new one tommorow. enough is enough ~_~ and fast? qemu it's more secure than xen? m4rzito: there have been research papers on VM systems (qemu, xen, vmware, etc) and all have flaws, more secure is rather a fuzzy logic style statement m4rzito: it is certainly fast, it is certainly reliable, and it is certainly totally open source, and it is certainly capable of running almost anything unmodified as a guest .. vs EC2 which requires xen domU kernels m4rzito: I'm not aware of any arpnetworks backup mechanism, you pay for the vps and backup your own stuff thanks but if anyone else (up_the_irons especially) wants to correct me I'd love to hear otherwise ;-) I thought I had read a FAQ on backups not existing, but I'm not seeing it now.
