with a /64, you can use a mechanical MAC-address-to-IP-address scheme
that's why a /64
no need for DHCP that way

i've found it's disk performance to be horrible (and i'm not alone in that)
virtualized disk is always going to be horrible (unless you give it direct access to something, I guess)
... but even there it benches better. Heh.
true, but even with 'direct' access i've still be unimpressed
i like vmware for the desktop, though virtualbox is pretty fine these days
the problem with vmware, the real problem with it, is that you have to shell out a lot of money to make esx/esxi/vsphere/whatever not suck (the management/admin crap)
... but it's a bit of a moot point, kvm, vbox etc. don't even compete in that space.
