wow, my openbsd VM actually crashed ddb> trace Debugger() at Debugger+0x5 panic() at panic+0x122 em_rxeof() at em_rxeof+0x437 em_intr() at em_intr+0x133 Xintr_legacy11() at Xintr_legacy11+0xf4 --- interrupt --- Bad frame pointer: 0xffff80000627ed80 end trace frame: 0xffff80000627ed80, count: -5 Xspllower+0xe: ddb> i've never ever seen that happen especially sucks it is my mail server ;) go tell theo his OS sucks hah he'd probably shoot you with his laserbeam eyes from across the world up_the_irons: good thing vms aren't a supported environment for obsd ;) is arp only giving out /64 now? instead of a /48 for ipv6 heh are you really coming to miss those addresses? going* lol Only if you need more than one subnet, for whatever reason, I guess. ballen, im just wondering so i can set this persons server up right pretty sure you have to specifically request a /48 At least, that's what the site says. whats the IP Block Detail in the portal say for the VM? i dont have access to that well....i have the default pass for everything i guess i can login oh that didn't wor but ifconfig reports prefixlen of 64 so thats what im going off of anyone know when irons will be around ? hes usually around later in the night damn.. if I call the # would he answer ? idk im not his mother though no idea, i've always talked to him by email sheath: make sure you're looking at the right line... inet6 2607:f2f8:a2a0::2 prefixlen 64 dunno, maybe he changed how he does things. I've got a /48 if I had more time I could help u w/ IPv6.. yeah same here I have to get back to work tho.. only on lunch.. well there's nothing really to help with if he hasn't been assigned a /48, he'd have to talk to up_the_irons I guess. jdoe: like i said, its a /64 by default, you have to request a /48 that's what it says on the site. hmm, really? I guess it's been a while since I signed up. yes. yeah, it may have been changed, i dont know. I'm new here. I just know thats what it says. yeah i got ya he used to give out 48's thats no big deal i was just wondering yeah, makes sense to change it though... no sense in giving a single host more than that. If you need more because you're doing something wonky, you just have to ask. now this is the other problem i've been running into some networks ping out while others are ok any news from irons ? @ work, can't really be on here.. News? On what? has he came on yet since I was at home on lunch no k anyone noticing any connectivity issues? Nothing on my vps will connect to freenode or efnet (bouncer, bots, etc) seems likely you've done something wrong. doubt that :-P really? it's been fine for tat least a month because I'm pretty sure I'm on freenode ;) then all of a sudden today heading home for the record, all customers are still allocated a /48, but only the first /64 is assigned to the interface. there is no need to assign more. if one wants the /48 *routed* over link-local, we can do that, but unless one knows what this actually means, then there is _no need_ for a /48 on the interface. /48 is meant to be broken up into separate subnets. i can't see why this would be needed if one only has one vps, unless one is using it for vpn if one has multiple VMs, then that may be a different story Gotcha up_the_irons: precisely :)
