[09:09] excellent :) [09:09] good [09:10] Anyone ever use or test Fusion-IO SSD PCI-e cards? [10:12] Negative :| [10:12] Does ARPNetworks have machines in multiple datacenters, or just the one? [10:19] I think its just at Wilshire Annex [10:19] although I haven't been hanging around here much in the past few months [10:20] yeah i think its just one [10:26] Alrighty [10:26] Wish they had more :\ [10:26] would love to get rid of some of these Linode VPSes [10:28] phlux: I just transitioned two of my linodes a month or so back. [10:29] to who? [10:29] ARP [10:29] :) [10:29] ah [10:29] Well, I mainly run an IRC network with my VPSes [10:29] So it wouldn't be beneficial to have them all in the same location [10:30] true, so get VPS' from multiple providers [10:30] Yeah, that's what I've got going right now [10:30] Who are you using? [10:30] I've got one with ARP (though I might be looking at an openbsd one soon for an unrelated project..), some with Linode, and one with CoreNetworks [10:30] Besides linode, that is? [10:31] Out of all of them, ARP is the most stable/fastest by far. [10:31] Ahh [10:32] and it's the only one that will support FreeBSD [10:33] All of the others are Gentoo, and I've got one Debian. [10:33] Though, recently I installed ArchLinux on a partition on my laptop, and I'm loving it so far. [10:33] yea Arch is nice if you like FreeBSD [10:33] only problem is its Bleeding edge [10:34] no matter if you want to be or not [10:34] lol, yeah [10:34] so you'll run into issues eventually [10:34] well right now HAL is having issues with my synaptics touchpad. [10:34] I have to manually enable tapping and horizontal scrolling with synclient, even though the policy specifies otherwise. [10:35] yea laptops + linux never worked out well for me [10:35] well, I will tell you this [10:35] My broadcom 4312 wifi worked nearly out of the box [10:36] not bad [10:36] I had to install two packages from the CD (the broadcom driver and wpa_supplicant) and I was up and running. [10:36] yea [10:36] I had ArchLinux installed, X running, wifi working, and all USB peripherals going within 25 minutes.
