So it wouldn't be beneficial to have them all in the same location

I've got one with ARP (though I might be looking at an openbsd one soon for an unrelated project..), some with Linode, and one with CoreNetworks
Besides linode, that is?
Out of all of them, ARP is the most stable/fastest by far.
Ahh
and it's the only one that will support FreeBSD
All of the others are Gentoo, and I've got one Debian.
Though, recently I installed ArchLinux on a partition on my laptop, and I'm loving it so far.
yea Arch is nice if you like FreeBSD

well right now HAL is having issues with my synaptics touchpad.
I have to manually enable tapping and horizontal scrolling with synclient, even though the policy specifies otherwise.
yea laptops + linux never worked out well for me
well, I will tell you this
My broadcom 4312 wifi worked nearly out of the box
not bad
I had to install two packages from the CD (the broadcom driver and wpa_supplicant) and I was up and running.

I had ArchLinux installed, X running, wifi working, and all USB peripherals going within 25 minutes.
