yekoms has joined #arpnetworks yekoms: does anyone use he.net to control their rdns? (ipv6) mhoran: Yeah. yekoms: how did you add your v6 range?
i keep getting ns1-5 errors when i trace the range it shows all of the NS required. mhoran: I'm not using it for my arpnetworks range. :( yekoms: oh i want too. since they dont have a rdns panel for arp. mhoran: Yeah, that'd be nice. I'm not sure how you get external subnets into HE, or even if you can ... yekoms: i can control my v4 range just fine. mhoran: Hm. yekoms: that added without a hitch. but the v6 range burps on me.
i believe because it still shows ns1/ns2.arpnetworks.com in the +trace mhoran: Hm, prehaps it's not been delegated then. yekoms: 8.f.2.f.7.0.6.2.ip6.arpa. 10800 IN NS ns1.arpnetworks.com.
0.c.a.a.8.f.2.f.7.0.6.2.ip6.arpa. 3600 IN NS ns1.he.net. mhoran: Yeah, that could do it.
You've requested delegation from ARP? Have they gotten back to you? yekoms: yes mhoran: Hm! yekoms: they've set delegation. atleast i thought so.
do i have to use the ipv6 range arpnetwork provides to me?
or can i create a tunnel from he.net and use that? mhoran: You could create a tunnel, but that wouldn't be native IPv6, which arp provides. So that'd be kinda silly!
I use HE.net tunnel at home, and native v6 on my VPS's. yekoms: i do the same thing. mhoran: I'm connected to my VPS over v6 from home right now. :) yekoms: but i believe he wont set 2607:7f2f:8: to he.net
which is why it burps ***: mdmarco has joined #arpnetworks
