I'd like to upgrade my 4.6 openbsd vps to 4.7.  What is the best way to do that?  Put in a request to change the install media in my vps? Or is there a way I can do it myself?

You can do an OpenBSD upgrade in-place, but you will need access to the management console.

If you want to upgrade from the CD-ROM you'll need to put in a request.
That said, I remember being able to upgrade OpenBSD without the CD-ROM.

just watch out for the mpbios bug
the default kernel loads it hanging at setting tty flags so you have to bypass the load

follow the faq.  theres some users you have to add, etc.  otherwise the 4.6 -> 4.7 doc is spot ob.
