.... (idle for 18mn)
up_the_ironscedwards: that's interesting; i haven't even posted an article since like last october :(
infrared: yeah, you can still upgrade
anyone know if I can do this in postfix:
check_client_access regexp:/etc/postfix/rejections, cidr:/etc/postfix/rejections_cidr
like, have two different lookup table types
[20:28]
Postfix is quite awesome, I have to say. It's way more awesome if you read the manual cover to cover (at least the parts relevant to you). [20:44]
.... (idle for 16mn)
RandalSchwartzindeed
it does deserve a complete read
not something you can just "dip" into
[21:00]
up_the_ironsYeah, you get so much more out of it when you really understand what goes on under the hood [21:03]
***homosaur has joined #arpnetworks [21:08]
up_the_ironsI guess I'll just try concat'ing two lookup tables. I mean, it would make a lot of sense that one table type is good for one type of check, and another type for others. I want to use cidr to block known "marketing" companies that somehow are not on rbl's yet [21:13]
RandalSchwartzI'm surprised... usually "known" marketing companies are on things like zen within hours [21:15]
up_the_ironsyeah
maybe they are just "known" to me because I've received a few spam from them today, and I checked out my headers; all from same /24
ah sweet, it appears what I want is totally possible:
spam_mild =
check_sender_access hash:/etc/postfix/sender_table,
check_sender_access regexp:/etc/postfix/sender_regexp,
check_client_access hash:/etc/postfix/access,
check_client_access cidr:/etc/postfix/access.cidr
http://archives.neohapsis.com/archives/postfix/2004-09/0998.html
just repeat "check_client_access", etc...
