schmir has joined #arpnetworks up_the_irons: Two comments about the wiki:
1) It should clearly state its unofficial nature
2) It should not repeat information already found in my Knowledge Base
Repeated information is just asking to become out of sync, and then that leads to confusion dxtr: You got a wiki now? :P ***: nukeAFK has joined #arpnetworks dxtr: up_the_irons: Can I get some sort of status on my payment? up_the_irons: dxtr: what do you mean? dxtr: up_the_irons: See if it worked out as expected this time :)
I know I didn't get a mail (yet) - but I can't see in my account that you actually pulled some money up_the_irons: dxtr: billing for May was done about an hour ago and sales receipts are emailed; if your card declined, then a decline notice is sent. you should have received _something_ ;) dxtr: Haven't received anything :/
OH yeah

Booya!
You took my money, up_the_irons! schmir: he also takes my money dxtr: schmir: I got 18.31 SEK on my acount now
account*
Epic schmir: he even took all your money! up_the_irons: $) dxtr: Btw, up_the_irons. I'm guessing you know alot about qemu :)
Me and my teacher is trying to get that working on a server we have - but we can't get the damn networking to work
I'd like to create some kind of vlan for a bunch of test guests. Is that possible?
And use NAT to give them access to the 'net up_the_irons: yes that's possible dxtr: Could you somehow hint me? :)
I get that I'll need to bridge.. But then what? Can I bridge several (virtual) interfaces to eth0+
?
Or what would be the best way to do it
And one problem I have is that NetBSD (The only OS I've tried so far) can't find the nic up_the_irons: dxtr: try e1000 emulation for NetBSD
dxtr: hint: man kvm
:)
you can bridge as many interfaces together as you like
it might not always be a good idea, but it is possible schmir: up_the_irons: what's the ratio BSD:Linux customers ? (if I may ask) up_the_irons: schmir: strongly leans toward FreeBSD ***: nukeAFK has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) up_the_irons: cd $sleep schmir: good night ***: hsbt has joined #arpnetworks

:D Wraithan: up_the_irons: thanks i will set it all up this afternoon leander: question; the time on my vps seems a bit out of sync (~4 mins). Is it necessary to run a ntp client to keep the time in sync. Or is the vps supposed to automatically sync with the host? ***: schmir has quit IRC (Remote host closed the connection) dxtr: http://www.dxtr.cc/~dexter/pub/dxtr13.jpg <- My outfit for the school break :D
Or.. well.. I graduate
Yes, I'm getting a better shirt (To replace the T-shirt ;)) bob^^: lol :) dxtr: I'll probably get a better picture (So one can see it all)
But the system camera is upstairs and I'm home alone :D
Btw, that isn't a sailor hat of some sort :P

That's probably why it says It ;) bob^^: :D DaCa: leander: yes, it is recommended you run an ntp client Wraithan: leander: I've always had to run them, VPS or not, it is pretty standard jdoe: er
depending on the virtualization it may NOT be recommended
Xen suggests running ntpd in the dom0 and not running it in a guest, for example ***: schmir has joined #arpnetworks

schmir has joined #arpnetworks up_the_irons: Wraithan: there is nothing special about grub on kvm. Just pretend it is a real physical machine and proceed normally.
