I'm glad you mentioned something, or I'd still be puzzled. I was only using ~100M mem.. mhoran[jUaReZ]: The network backend that it autodetects is there, but broken for some reason. Last time I checked there was little to no activity towards getting it fixed. cedwards: how did you track it down? do/did those errors get logged anywhere? mhoran[jUaReZ]: No logs. It was tough, because most of the time it worked -- but sometimes there was a threshold that I'd pass, and the machine would lock up.
I think I just searched diligently for FreeBSD lighttpd file upload lockups. cedwards: and it looks like, on my old config, that I did define the backend explicitly. perhaps that's why I never ran into it there. mhoran[jUaReZ]: Ah, interesting.
I think it does work on Linux, though.

I'm on 8.0p2 mhoran[jUaReZ]: I've my event-handler set to freebsd-kqueue. That's pretty much it. No harm in turning on the accept filter, I'd go ahead and load that up. cedwards: not sure I understand what that is supposed to do, but if it's suggested... mhoran[jUaReZ]: man accf_filter -- basically keeps junk clients from clogging up lighttpd threads until a full request is received.
