we had a box that died just short of 1k days =(
well, the dinky ups it was on did.  then a while later, power blip.  =(
in about 3 months, we'll have a windows 2003 server hit 1k days

it's a box we forgot about.  fortunately, its switchport was shut off so it wasn't a risk having it on the network.  it was at 854 when we "found" it, so we decided to leave it running.
