Does ARPNetworks allow running IRCds and connecting IRC clients from a VPS? And are the standard ports filtered? (6660-6669; 7000) 6660 is not filtered I guess this should work phlux: in general I've seen `do not attract bad attention, do bad things, and you are fine' an irc server seems rather reasonable it has been stated arpnetworks actively cooperates with authorities if anything .. nerfarious .. is discovered .. ;-) "discovered" or "reported" but don't take my word as authorative, I'm only a customer, so ask at support@arpnetworks.com if you want an official answer ;-) aye, thanks toddf I've not had any issues running a tor bridge and a couple music streams, can't imagine an ircd being any huge deal /legal/ music. ;) These prices are too good to pass up for a FreeBSD VPS Especially the current deal yeah :) very good price and it's a decent little vps too :) Lol, yup. Took me a while to find something at least sorta productive to do with it. I just couldn't pass it for $20. I've got VPSes elsewhere, but I absolutely needed a FreeBSD one. I've got mail servers on Debian, and they just won't work nearly as well as Matt's Mail Toaster for FreeBSD Gonna pay $24 and get the extra IPs :D How long did it take you guys to get your information? mine was inside a day I guess a better question would be, how long did it take for setup? Ah, nice. phlux: up_the_irons usually sets them up late at night his time (pst) alrighty, thanks Heh, one time I was setting up fake interfaces for a couple jails and managed to bork it and needed to get at the colsole. I didn't know you could get that info or give it a reboot off the site so I shot a mail w/ my key for ssh access to the console. A few or couple hours later I had a mail asking if I done something 'cause his nagios monitor showed my box not responding to pings And then another regarding the rest and it was sorted. But it was cool to get a random mail about it being down =) That is nice welp, best $24 I think I've spent in a while. hello fellow i have a question tha is ireelevant to the channel i just hope someone here will be able to help me i am trying to find a way to access network files using windows xp (read write execute) but i also want to disallow the user to access them ##windows or something. not arpnetworks, most of us dont even know what windows is. ohi rofl jeev, most of us don't even know what windows is Sure I do, those are the things that X draws on my screen. hey, it made him not ask the questions, right ? or continue I'm surprised there hasn't been a window manager named mdma yet. heh ok - big push this week and next to get out of sprocket onto arp can't keep paying for both. :) ya hmm iPhone update lame Github is down
