But I ran into the same issue. The arch installer doesn't find the /dev/vda drivers and crashes when you try to setup your disk.

It doesn't look for /dev/vda devices for installation
Well...I just ended up hacking the arch installers finddisk() function to locate the /dev/vda disks as well and the install is off like hurd of turtles.
