validating form submission data is like web 101
jeev: Be sure that your queries look like this: User.find_by_sql("SELECT * FROM USERS WHERE #{params[:sql]}")
That's the safest.
And/or use a web framework that does intelligent quoting.

You might also google "test driven development" - tons of material on that.
Even if you don't write your tests first, ensuring you have decent coverage of your code with tests will help you avoid many errors... will repay itself time and time again.
