mike-burns thinks emacs and vim are the clear winners of the editor wars and any other editor is a worthless imitation.
DaCa is happy with nvi in an xterm with terminus font sroute: mike-burns: I use gvim in my simple tiling window manager. For better font options as you noted. I also like cut and paste better in it, a non trivial improvement. But I have all the menus turned off - the casual eye might mistake it for regular vim on first glance. ***: heavysixer has joined #arpnetworks

heavysixer: Been in here for months! Just another happy client. heavysixer: mike-burns: ha word
mike-burns: yeah Garry and I do pledgie.com together mike-burns: Awesome. Rumor has it that you use plugins that I sometimes maintain for that ... heavysixer: mike-burns: we have LOTS of thoughtbot plugins
if that's what you mean
i think we use most of them except clearance and hoptoad mike-burns: Yeah that's what I mean. heavysixer: yeh. mike-burns: Hoptoad is pretty sweet, IMO.
If you have exceptions, which I'm sure you don't. heavysixer: mike-burns: never ;-)
mike-burns: yeah we looked at it since pledgie is a free service we can't afford hosted products yet :-)
we get a free tender and lighthouse account
that's why we have those
otherwise we wouldn't mike-burns: There's a free Hoptoad account for one project. heavysixer: oh?
mike-burns: do you guys do datamining?
are the exceptions private only to the project owner
we filter sensitive params where possible but i worry about it sometimes. mike-burns: https://hoptoadapp.com/account/new - the free account has one project, two users, and a "rate limit" of 5.
We don't look at the data.
Unless you report a bug, then we look at your username. heavysixer: gotcha mike-burns: We also filter passwords and CC info from your data as best as we can.
We really don't like that kind of responsibility. :) heavysixer: cool
yeah
it's a business you don't want to get mixed up in that's for sure. mike-burns: We'd rather deal with DB and scaling issues instead of CC and law issues. heavysixer: right ***: vtoms has joined #arpnetworks
