jeev: sroute gives good advice... python (even moreso with ruby i would say) syntax is really simple and gives you a nice place to start learning the logic part of programming
And ruby is the same. Just pick whichever fits your brain better and stick with it. eventually you'll get there.
jeev: once you get a grip on the logic part of it, you can learn any other language you'd like, and just use the proper syntax to match the logic of whatever you're trying to write
