hey, is it possible to update a FreeBSD 7.2 VPS to FreeBSD 8-STABLE?
i was wondering the same thing and yes why not. it worked in the past, too
i just fear alot of time spending in mergemaster

Source-based upgrades (those based on recompiling the FreeBSD base system from source code) from previous versions are supported, according to the instructions in /usr/src/UPDATING.

You can do whatever you want with your VPS, for the most part. So long as it's legal. :)
