Probably should have changed the search term, but it's easily filterable PDT... Don't recall changing that, crap k run some smart tests that's a good sign of the hard drive, cable or controller PMSing except there's no hard drive, cable or controller as far as a VM is concerned ;) not a physical one at least of course there is its' in the server :) **as far as a VM is concerned** Oct 3 03:22:40 www kernel: ad0: TIMEOUT - WRITE_DMA retrying (1 retry left) LBA=5255887 mine was oct 3 yea but it still is on a hard drive, maybe that hard drive is pmsing ;) what is your TZ? yeah i got several msgs did you get my email PDT looking at the logs, looks like around 3:00 pst is when it happens, and my munin shows high load during that period; most likely the host backup script in cron, so i gotta see why that is such a huge, cuz the host backup is usually quick s/huge/hog/ how many hd's raid ? one of my VM hosts was backing up the base OS images, whups (high load when those bad boys are transferred) disabled it heh iv'e seen that error many times man, you may be good at what you do but that error comes up when there's a hard drive issue. so if it happens when there's load, you know what your problem is, you dont stop the load, you figure out the hd issue but i'll leave that to you, i dont have anything important on my vps it's not a hard drive issue that error can come up for other reasons, it is not exclusive to HD you know best i guess
