so how is the VNC access handled?
I thought I'd take a look, but as soon as I connect, the window opens and closes

up_the_irons: thanks, TinyVNC worked (RealVNC didn't). Is there any reason for me to keep cd, serial, or usb support in the kernel?
baklava: you should keep serial for the serial console access feature i'm going to be rolling out some time soon; CD support is good if you want to access the install DVD

irons: How does the serial console work?  If you can tell?  Like Serial over IP?

irons: That's sweet...been looking at hardware serial consoles at work...very costly
