[11:24] <up_the_irons> if we learn of kernel level exploits, we generally upgrade the host within 24-48 hours, and we shutdown all the VMs via ACPI.  for ppl who've turnded off ACPI in their kernel, we login to the VPS.  If we don't have an account, then the VPS must simply be shut off hard (not good).  Fortunately, we haven't had to do any hard shutdowns yet
