toddf: I don't recall gpg and credit cards, but I do recall back when I could sign an email with gpg and network solutions would apply changes to my dns, had scripts to send it after update and everything, it was sweet, edit local, send email, no need to login to the webite.
now I have to figure out the api to upate stuff before I can do that same concept except instead of send email its use an api .. much harder mercutio: yeh api are often hard to use
people seem to "think" it's easy too mhoran: I remmeber faxing changes to NetSol. I don't think they verifed the changes in any way... brycec: I too remember faxing NetSol... I've had that domain a *long* time now. toddf: Creation Date: 1997-12-20T05:00:00Z
when I got that I felt like I had gotten in on the action late in the game
dont get me wrong I love companies making apis available. fun to email a gpg signed email as an api .. but I'll take an api over manual manipulation
speaking of which, has arpnetworks ever floated the idea of a basic api for querying anything? long term provisioning of course but .. I'm moving on coding up a framework to auto query various apis on various services that don't auto renew so I'm not caught off guard, sorting the output with "Expires in X Days" column lowest number at the top, would gladly code some bits for an arpnetworks api .. ;-) brycec: Heh, you beat me anyways. toddf: https://trello.com/b/Ml0HXyJX/arp-networks-suggestions-and-feature-requests lists an "API for VM operations" as something that's "Next Up"
