it seems my vm is "stuck" - I can't send powerdown / boot commands (webui or via ssh console)
ssh console being the serial console over ssh
for the pedantic
novnc shows my vm as "booted" - but it isn't available via network services
qbit: to clarify, when you say "powerdown" do you mean "POWER off" or "shutDOWN" because you're kinda combining those two very different-meaning buttons
either, no commands have any impact

  s    shutdown (graceful) *
  S    shutdown (hard / power off)
the console calls them the samething. so there is precedent for my usage
