and gave me a heads up
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCribHdOMgiD5R3OUDgx2qTg
bookmark this channel I guess mercutio: i wonder if that acm thing came out yet
nope it hasn't
gizmoguy: did you hear about the improvements to linux for fq/aqm with wireless? gizmoguy: isn't there some new scheme now mercutio: mostly in atheros at first
ath9k/ath10k
which is what my wireless router has :)
dunno how cpu would cope
yeh there's some new stuff gizmoguy: did you see google wifi? mercutio: but i haven't read details yet
that's the balloon thing? gizmoguy: nah google mesh wifi for your house
https://blog.google/products/google-wifi/introducing-new-kind-wi-fi-system/ mercutio: damn
that sounds ominious
i don't want google in my hosue!
it's funny/scary how big google have got gizmoguy: then yeah don't buy this: https://madeby.google.com/home/ mercutio: i want better lighting
not better wifi :) mike-burns: I think about that sometimes: some PhDs' idea for crawling the Web is competing against some college student's idea for how to more efficiently have booty calls. mercutio: heh gizmoguy: I bought a pack of these, I'll let you know how I get on: http://www.qube-smarthome.com/ mercutio: cool
one fot he problems atm is that older houses don't have enough light bulb sockets
and if you use something like led they don't go wide enough gizmoguy: https://twitter.com/switchcade/status/783480655984209920/photo/1 BryceBot: TWITTER: The money shot. #BBR #netdev12 https://t.co/H5NqdVWtqh (Wed Oct 05 01:35:19 +0000 2016, retweeted 1 times) gizmoguy: I found a picture of BBR for you
apparently joe is on the front row so that's handy mercutio: heh
well i tested it
by just downloading over the internet
and i fuond that over long distances it was faster, and smoother
but over short distance it was slower (maybe more fair)
that's kind of what his graph shows it seems
if you look at the very top left
there's like 5% faster at 0 loss ***: Nahual has quit IRC (Quit: Leaving.)
