mnathaniNow I know why OpenVPN is so cool. After spending multiple hours trying to get a Road Warrier IPSec Setup with the client behind a NAT, I return to OpenVPN bliss. Only need to open / port forward a single UDP port and it works like a charm even from behind an LTE Networks Carrier Grade Nat. I mean why would anyone use anything else? [12:31]

mercutioyeh ipsec is terrible for that kind of situation [13:10]
nathaniWould you recommend anything other than openvpn for my situation? [13:12]
mercutioidk your situation

JC_Dentononly major advantage i ever see with IPSec is if your client is an office router, like a small Cisco, or you need broadcast traffic which not all the ovpn clients handle well [14:24]
