After spending multiple hours trying to get a Road Warrier IPSec Setup with the client behind a NAT, I return to OpenVPN bliss. Only need to open / port forward a single UDP port and it works like a charm even from behind an LTE Networks Carrier Grade Nat. I mean why would anyone use anything else? [13:10] yeh ipsec is terrible for that kind of situation [13:12] Would you recommend anything other than openvpn for my situation? [13:12] idk your situation [13:13] but if openvpn works no rason to shift from it [13:13] oh forwarding udp port [13:13] seems sensible enough [13:18] *** DaCa has joined #arpnetworks [14:06] *** nclee has joined #arpnetworks [14:24] only major advantage i ever see with IPSec is if your client is an office router, like a small Cisco, or you need broadcast traffic which not all the ovpn clients handle well [18:29] *** mnathani has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 240 seconds) [21:59] *** mnathani has joined #arpnetworks
