weird, so top has changed the order of used and free ... confusing.. at first i was thinking i was into swap :) https://github.com/MrMEEE/bumblebee-Old-and-abbandoned/commit/a047be85247755cdbe0acce6f1dafc8beb84f2ac Github Commit: "GIANT BUG... causing /usr to be deleted... so sorry.... issue #123, issue #122, issue #121 by Martin Juhl" mercutio: are you just seeing that now? there were some great meme's generated when that came out. so funny. i might have seen it before, but i saw it again :) actually i probably didn't see it at the time I was kind of tied up resettling when it happened it seems. ben1: It was in SMP mode as a matter of fact, yes. Currently troubleshooting why my laptop has started randomly hanging, both Linux and Windows (haven't tested in its OpenBSD install yet), and it seems like it also did it during memtest too Seems like I've managed to hang it again... this time the heartbeat is still going, the run timer is still incrementing, and even the core "state" indicator is still spinning, but the current RAM test has stopped (or just slowed to the crawl of molasses) Next step is going to be pulling DIMMs I guess. *sigh* now it's my turn to have freenode issues brycec: it could be localised heat issue with a laptop. it is possible in some situations for one core to lockup without the other although that's much more likely to happen if overclocking normally laptop heat issues usually are kind of audible though Yeah I'm slowly working my way through the diagnostic smorgasbord. Delicious. That's what she said!! Doesn't /seem/ to be heat since it's run warmer than other times it's crashed (CPU temp readings) it might be crack on motherboard or smoething annoying like that which you can't easily do anything about memory's one of the few things that aer usually replacable Have you tried crashing it at Linux console to see if you get any messages? I would just SSH to my laptop :-) mercutio: It locks solid - no keyboard response, no network activity, nothing in on-screen logs, and no fixed timeframe for when it crashes - sometimes days, sometimes hours. Like I said, just working my way through the list of tests. xorg can often mask console messages sounds damn annoying though. good luck tracking it down @weather yyz Toronto-Pearson International, Ontario: Scattered Clouds 57°F (14°C), Humidity: 41%, Wind: From the SSE at 2 MPH -- For more details including the forecast and almanac, see http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=43.67722321,-79.63055420 or re-request this with: @weather -v yyz
