so. What's everyone using to do backups these days? I'm playing with Attic. rsnapshot sometimes r1soft mostly and also some simple ssh/tar/scp I use tarsnap because that's what I've been using. lol, you use it because you use it, eh? I use duplicity with both local and S3 storage. Some things I use have their own backup stuff, and on those I use their own and I copy it up to s3 I also use tarsnap. It's simple, cheap, and I don't have to touch it. my nick also starts with m, but I am not an op and I use tarsnap cheap is a relative term though, depends on how much unique and compressible data you have in the first place awyeah ^ soo what arp guy should I talk to if I want to give arp a good deal for hosting in eu? Talk with up_the_irons . hes the "main guy" ? Yes. doesnt seem to be around. You could email him. ok what about email? dont think up_the_irons@ applies there :) email? https://arpnetworks.com/contact - anything on here. Except for the IRC one. hehe ok CHAT WITH A SPECIALIST :) probably makes sense to just use sales@ Yeah.. true Will try that. I do have plenty of DC and good pricing if needed :) im happy to do good deals :) i imagine it's more than just about good deals. redundant dedicated spaces with a good deal included :) I assume it's about people, logistics, and support. But start with an email. Yeah I have local support everywhere :) but sure. I will start there
