mnathani_ has joined #arpnetworks -: mnathani_ drops a pin - ending 3 day silence brycec: Not 3 days... just yesterday [FBI] spoke, and the day before mike-burns spoke up, and before that there was a conversation about a weird resolution issue.
But certainly no single day of silence. mike-burns: I enjoyed speaking on that day. pcn: Is there anyone here from support? I had a request to add storage and backup to my account, haven't heard back since (or I have some mail routing that lost it). Either way, I'd really like to get this set up.
*doh*. No, Gary got back to me. Sorry all.
Garry mercutio: pcn: filtering issue? pcn: Yeah, mutt was 'l'ing on something besides the from I guess?
Or I was mercutio: maybe just use thread mode pcn: pebkac either way ***: twobithacker has quit IRC (Ping timeout: 252 seconds) mercutio: JC_Denton: did you resolve your resolve issue? ***: lyarick has joined #arpnetworks -: brycec awaits kvr18's return... mercutio: it's known about bryce. brycec: Yep, saw the tweet mercutio: ahh
bryce: it shoudl be back brycec: my vps isn't pinging yet, I'll wait a couple minutes before I VNC and check
thanks mercutio
(slow fsck is slow, apparently) mercutio: cool
so it's up now ?
the host load is fine brycec: Well it's running (I'm VNC'd)
(fsck is unhappy... *sigh*) mercutio: damn
i used to hit that problem with openbsd sometimes
manual fscks can be annoying brycec: it's a large filesystem with *gazillions* of files, it's prone to blowing up mercutio: linux or bsd? brycec: openbsd mercutio: ahh yeah
openbsd's always been a bit behind on fsck performance brycec: (and there's a postgres instance on that fs too)
s/fsck/disk BryceBot: <mercutio> openbsd's always been a bit behind on disk performance mercutio: i used to hit 15 minute fscks on dedicated hardware
wasn't even a lot of storage or anything
but it's long enough to grab a coffee or something and not watch
then you find it wants manual fsck brycec: and now the ipsec tunnel isn't coming up... why
some days I really hate ipsec. but once it's working, life is good ***: DanyG has joined #arpnetworks
