mnathani_attempting an arch install, vi is not available, but nano is?
during the install process
[21:22]
brycecWell it's not BSD :p
There is no such thing as "base" ;D
[21:30]
mnathani_I was always under the impression that vi would be present on any *nix box I would ever encounter [21:34]
meingtslaIf you have busybox you might be able to invoke "busybox vi". I don't know if that would be available in an arch install environment but worth a shot [21:36]
mnathani_meingtsla: will try that [21:38]
.... (idle for 17mn)
mercutioi thought vi was available
zsh sure is
it may be vim or may not be vim, i can't recall :
meingtsla: busybox vi is really terrible.
i would have remembered if it was that bad.
[21:55]
meingtslaThis is true [21:57]
mnathani_since when does zshell autocorrect commands? [22:03]
mercutiosince forever?
it depends on your config
[22:09]
brycecArch uses grml's zsh config in their installer
http://grml.org/zsh/
And coincidentally, it's what I use personally now too. Arch's zsh got me to switch away from bash after a long, long time.
